The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Reconciliation of Regency/City Quarterly GRDP and Preparation for Calculation of GRDP for Q II 2023

BPS is committed to providing strategic data quickly and accurately in order to fulfill Economic Growth data which is always awaited by policy makers and interested stakeholders. Before Economic Growth was released, BPS first reconciled district/city Quarterly GRDP (Gross Regional Domestic Product) data by business field and according to regional expenditure in each province throughout Indonesia. Simultaneous Reconciliation Activities in South Sumatra Province were carried out for 2 effective days on 17-18 July 2023 at Hotel Santika Palembang. The activity was attended by representatives of the Regional Accounts Team and Statistical Analysis from all Regency/City BPS in South Sumatra Province. The aim of this reconciliation is to obtain quality data from the collection of GRDP compilation data so that economic growth data is produced that reflects the conditions of each district/city in South Sumatra Province.
