The rice harvest area in 2024 will reach 521.09 thousand hectares, an increase of 16.95 thousand hectares or 3.36 percent compared to the rice harvest area in 2023 which was 504.14 thousand hectares.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

Pepper Plantation Strategic Commodity Survey (Komstrat) training for 2023

The 2023 Pepper Plantation Strategic Commodity Survey (Komstrat) Pepper training has been carried out. The training was carried out for two effective days, namely August 24-25 2022 offline at The Alts Hotel Palembang.

The training participants are supervisors and Komstrat officers from Regency/Municipal BPS in South Sumatra Province. In this training, the BPS of Empat Lawang Regency sent 2 organic officers and 14 partner officers, where one of the partners managed to get 2nd place in this training activity.
