K-3 is conducted annually based on the legal basis of Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 37 of 2007 concerning Village Financial Management APBDes.

The number of samples is increasing (13,391 Villages/Nagari in 434 Districts/Cities). The K-3 2024 questionnaire details are mostly the same as the K-3 2023 questionnaire, with only minor changes. The printing of questionnaires is done at the provincial level. Data processing still utilizes web entry with a focus on data processing validation. Furthermore, Support Letters from the Ministry of Home Affairs are already available for the implementation of the K-3 2024 survey.
