The rice harvest area in 2024 will reach 521.09 thousand hectares, an increase of 16.95 thousand hectares or 3.36 percent compared to the rice harvest area in 2023 which was 504.14 thousand hectares.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

Training for Personnel Updating the Market Directory 2024 (UDP-24)

On May 21st, 2024, BPS-Statistics of Empat Lawang Regency conducted training for personnel involved in Updating the Market Directory 2024 (UDP-24). This training took place in the meeting room of the BPS office in Empat Lawang Regency and was attended by six field data collectors (PCL) and two field supervisors (PML). The purpose of UDP-24 is to obtain an up-to-date market frame, consisting of the names and addresses of traditional markets throughout Indonesia. The scope of UDP-24 includes traditional markets that have permanent or semi-permanent buildings and market managers. The field implementation of UDP-24 is scheduled to run until July 19th, 2024.
