The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

All BPS Village Potential Data Collection PML (PODES) Empat Lawang Regency took part in the 2024 Village Potential Data Examination (PODES) Technical Development held by BPS-RI via zoom meeting. The 2024 PODES Data Examination Technical Discussion discusses the naming of educational, health and economic facilities that need to be verified again. Apart from that, Bappenas discussed the importance of ID and IKG substances produced by BPS in carrying out village development throughout Indonesia. BPS Empat Lawang Regency continues to make efforts to verify and examine data on the ID and IKG of Disadvantaged Villages in Empat Lawang Regency.
