The rice harvest area in 2024 will reach 521.09 thousand hectares, an increase of 16.95 thousand hectares or 3.36 percent compared to the rice harvest area in 2023 which was 504.14 thousand hectares.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

On Monday, June 24 2024, a Briefing for Candidates for Quarterly Household Economic Survey (SERUTI) 2024 Quarterly was held at the Empat Lawang Regency BPS Office. The Briefing for Candidates for SERUTI Quarter-II 2024 was attended by 4 participants, consisting of 1 Inda Pak Megry Fatra Humbara, S.ST., 1 PML Zakiah Rahmah, S.Tr.Stat., and 2 PCL Roli Sagito from Lintang Kanan, as well as Sidoyon from Talang Padang. The data collection officer's briefing, which is conducted offline, aims to enable training participants to interact directly with the instructor, so that the learning system can run more optimally.
