The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

On Friday (05/07/2024), BPS Empat Lawang Regency took part in the Socialization of Payment of Performance Allowances (Tukin) through the Salary Application (Phase II). This activity aims to mitigate the risk of double payments, mark ups on tukin amounts, and mitigate performance allowance payments in several Ministries/Institutions which are still being submitted through the LS Treasurer. BPS Empat Lawang Regency, which originally recorded performance allowances via the online Tukin website, is now required to account for performance allowances using the Web Salary Application. This socialization also includes procedures for submitting and validating work benefits via the Web Salary Application.
