The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Supervising Assistance in Efforts to Increase Rice Productivity

Friday, July 12 2024, the South Sumatra Province BPS Food Crop Supervision Team visited BPS Empat Lawang Regency in the context of assistance and increasing rice productivity. This activity is a form of control from the Provincial BPS Team in controlling rice commodity inflation in Empat Lawang Regency. The Provincial Supervision Team was accompanied directly by the Head of BPS Empat Lawang and the Production Team who directly monitored the field. It is hoped that this activity can control inflation, especially in the food crop sector, namely the rice commodity.
