The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

EPSS 2024 Plenary, South Sumatra Province

The BPS Implementation and Assessment Team for Empat Lawang Regency attended the Provincial Plenary Evaluation of the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics (EPSS) for South Sumatra Province at the Favehotel Palembang on 12 and 13 August 2024. This activity was officially opened by the Deputy for Production Statistics of the Central Statistics Agency, M. Habibullah, S.Sc., M.Sc.
This activity was carried out to harmonize the results of the EPSS assessment before determining the Statistical Development Index (IPS) value. The aim of this activity is to increase the credibility of the assessment, confirm the perception of the assessment, and provide an explanation of the differences and extreme values that occur during the EPSS assessment stages.
The end of the provincial plenary activity is the signing of the Minutes containing the points of agreement in the provincial plenary activity, which will then be submitted to the BPS RI EPSS Implementation Team via the EPSS-Simbatik portal.
