The rice harvest area in 2024 will reach 521.09 thousand hectares, an increase of 16.95 thousand hectares or 3.36 percent compared to the rice harvest area in 2023 which was 504.14 thousand hectares.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

Saturday, August 17 2024, BPS Empat Lawang Regency held a ceremony commemorating the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia with the theme "New Archipelago, Advanced Indonesia". At today's ceremony, the Head of BPS Empat Lawang Regency, Ir. Lasdiarso, M.M, as the Master of Ceremonies and attended by all employees and members of the Darma Wanita Association of BPS Empat Lawang Regency. Ceremony participants wore traditional clothing that showed the rich culture and spirit of Indonesian unity. Towards the end of the event, there was a presentation of the Charter to the selected 2024 Exemplary Statistics Person (IST), namely Novi Irawan, S.Si., M.M.
