The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

The Central Statistics Agency's Financial Bureau held a Refreshment Webinar for Completing the 2024 SPT which was attended by the BPS Treasurer of Empat Lawang Regency on 18/12/2024. This event discusses the Regulation of the Directorate General of Taxes Number PER-5/PJ/2024 concerning Amendments to the Regulation of the Director General of Taxes Number Per-17/Pj/2021 concerning the Form and Procedure for Making Proof of Tax Withholding and/or Collection, as well as the Form, Content, Procedure How to Fill Out and Submit Periodic Notification Letters for Government Agencies.
