National Defense Day Commemoration Ceremony

On December 19 2024, BPS Empat Lawang Regency held a solemn ceremony to commemorate the 76th National Defense Day. In the address of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, he emphasized the spirit of defending the country with the theme:
"State Defense Movement for Advanced Indonesia."

The President reminded the importance of remembering the heroes' struggle, especially through the formation of the Emergency Government of the Republic of Indonesia (PDRI) during the Second Dutch Military Aggression. He also emphasized the basic values of defending the country such as love of the country, national awareness, belief in Pancasila, willingness to sacrifice, and the initial ability to defend the country. In facing global challenges, such as regional conflicts and climate change, a strong defense strategy is needed through the Universal People's Security Defense System (Sishankamrata). Real contributions from all citizens in various aspects of life are also very important to make Indonesia developed.
