The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Workshop on the 2025 Producer Price Survey

From the 8th to 9th of January, 2025, the BPS-Statistics of Empat Lawang Regency participated in the 2025 Producer Price Survey (SHP) Workshop. This workshop was held online by the Directorate of Price Statistics of BPS RI and attended by participants from various district and city BPS offices.

The workshop, conducted through BPS RI's virtual Zoom platform, was officially opened by the Director of Price Statistics, Windhiarso Ponco Adi P., who expressed appreciation and gratitude for the contributions of SHP coordinators across Indonesia in ensuring smooth data collection. The workshop highlighted that the 2025 SHP activities include the Producer Price Index (PPI) survey and the Rice Mill Producer Price Survey (SHPBG), which provides data on rice prices at the milling level categorized by quality.
