The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Implementation of the Producer Price Survey (SHP) for January 2025

From the 15th to 22nd January, 2025, BPS-Statistics of Empat Lawang Regency conducted the Producer Price Survey (SHP) for January 2025. This survey is routinely carried out every month.

The survey aims to collect comprehensive and continuous producer price data for calculating the Producer Price Index (PPI). The PPI measures changes in prices received by domestic producers of goods and services to monitor price trends over time. It is calculated based on the basic price, which represents the price received by producers after deducting taxes and adding subsidies.

The PPI is a vital tool for assessing price fluctuations in the market, determining margins from price changes, and analyzing the economic strength of a country.
