The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

On February 12th, 2025, BPS-Statistics of Empat Lawang Regency participated in the SAKIP Team Meeting for BPS in the South Sumatra Region. This event was conducted online by BPS of South Sumatra Province and attended by all SAKIP Team Representatives from BPS at the regency/city level in the South Sumatra region.

The purpose of this meeting was to discuss changes in the Budget Performance Scores on the Ministry of Finance's Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) website. Additionally, a Q&A session was held regarding the preparation of the 2024 BPS Regency/City Performance Report due to additional explanations. The deadline for submitting the 2024 BPS Regency/City Performance Report is February 21st, 2025.
