The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Conducting the Enumeration of the Rural Price Survey (SHPed) for May 2025

On 14th until 17th of May 2025, BPS-Statistics of Empat Lawang Regency has implemented the Rural Price Survey (Survei Harga Perdesaan or SHPed) for May 2025. The SHPed enumeration is conducted routinely every month.

The objective of this activity is to obtain complete, accurate, and timely data on rural producer prices (agricultural sector) for the compilation of the Farmer Received Price Index (It) and Farmer Paid Price Index (Ib), as well as other price indicators. This is done to fulfill the data and information needs in supporting planning and early observation in the implementation of rural development, particularly in agriculture.
