Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of South Sumatra Province in September 2019 was recorded at 89.44, an increase of 0.47 percent compared to the previous month's NTP, this increase in NTP was influenced by the Farmers Received Price Index (It) which decreased by 0, 28 percent and the average decline in the Farmers Paid Index (Ib) which fell by 0.75 percent.

The increase in Farmer Exchange Rates in September 2019 was influenced by the increase in FTT in the food crops sub-sector which rose an average of 1.47 percent, horticulture by 0.82 percent, fisheries in general 0.66 percent, capture fisheries by 1.16 percent and aquaculture 0.18 percent. Whereas the FTT in the other subsectors experienced a decline, namely: plantations by 0.02 percent and livestock by 0.54 percent.

In September 2019, in RURAL DEFLATION, 1.06 percent occurred due to the decline in average index prices in the foodstuffs group of 2.36 percent, and education, recreation and sports 0.12 percent. While other groups experienced an increase in average prices, each of which rose: processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.22 percent, housing by 0.02 percent, clothing by 0.33 percent, health by 0.10 percent and transportation and communication 0.11 percent.

This happens because the average price of IT has decreased by 0.28 percent, while the average price index of Production Costs and Addition of Capital Goods (BPPBM) has increased by 0.06 percent. The decline in NTUP was caused by the decline in NTUP in the horticultural crops subsector by 0.05 percent, smallholder plantations 0.87 percent, livestock 1.04 percent and aquaculture 0.20 percent. While the NTUP that experienced an increase were the food crops subsector by 0.55 percent, fisheries in general 0.16 percent and capture fisheries by 0.54 percent.
