The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

Abstract

The number of foreign tourists visiting South Sumatra through the entrance of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang in August 2019 was 1,633 visits and an increase of 32.01 percent compared to July 2019.

Most of the foreign tourists visiting in August 2019 came from Malaysia, namely 828 visits or 50.70 percent, and Singapore, namely 204 visits or 12.49 percent.

Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in August 2019 reached an average of 54.31 percent, or up 0.45 points compared to the hotel ROR in July 2019 which was 53.86 percent.

The highest ROR for hotels is 2-star hotels by 59.01 percent and the lowest is for 1-star hotels by 32.96 percent

The average length of stay of guests in South Sumatra in August 2019 at star hotels was 2.60 days, an increase of 0.33 percent, which consisted of 3.22 days of foreign guests 'stay and 2.59 days of Indonesian guests' stay .

The longest average stay of a guest at a 5-star hotel is 4.47 days and the shortest is 1.76 days at a 3-star hotel.
