Abstract
Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of South Sumatra Province in February 2020
was recorded at 96.85 or decreased by 3.76 percent compared to the previous
month's NTP. The decline in FTT was influenced by the Farmer Received Price
Index (IT) which decreased by an average of 3.15 percent, while the average
Farmer Paid Index (Ib) increased by 0.63 percent.
The decrease in FTT in February 2020 was affected by the decline in FTT
in the food crops sub-sector by 1.02 percent, horticulture 1.76 percent,
plantations 4.92 percent, livestock 0.68 percent, fisheries in general 1.14
percent and capture fisheries by 1, 93 percent. Whereas the FTT in the
aquaculture subsector experienced a relatively small increase of 0.03 percent.
In February 2020, in rural Sumatra a rural inflation of 0.72 percent
occurred due to an increase in the average price index in nine expenditure
groups, mainly the food, beverage and tobacco group 1.08 percent, supplies,
equipment and routine household maintenance 0.57 percent and clothing and footwear
0.38 percent. While the groups experiencing deflation were housing, water,
electricity and household fuels by 0.09 percent and recreation, sports and
culture 0.12 percent.
In February 2020 there was a decrease in NTUP of 3.41 percent. This
happens because the average It has decreased by 3.15 percent, while the average
price of the BPPBM index has increased by 0.27 percent. The decline in NTUP was
caused by the decline in NTUP in all subsectors, except for the aquaculture
subsector which increased by 0.58 percent.
