The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Abstract

  • In November 2020, there were no foreign tourists (tourists) who visited South Sumatra through the entrance to the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang due to the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
  • Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in South Sumatra in November 2020 was recorded at 48.92 percent, or an increase of 1.37 points compared to the ROR for star hotels in October 2020 which was 47.55 percent. The ROR for star hotels in November 2020 occurred at four-star hotels by 60.20 percent and the lowest was for one-star hotels by 26.00 percent
  • The average length of stay of all star hotel guests in November 2020 was recorded at 1.45 days, a decrease of 0.21 days compared to October 2020 which was 1.66 days.
  • The average length of stay of foreign guests in November 2020 is 3.29 days, an increase of 1.54 days compared to October 2020 which was 1.75 days and the average length of stay of domestic guests in November 2020 is 1.44 days, down 0.22 days compared to October 2020 which amounted to 1.66 days.
