The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Abstract

• Palembang City in January 2021 experienced inflation of 0.43 percent, which is the same as the Calendar Year (Cumulative) inflation in 2021. Meanwhile, the annual inflation for “Year on Year” (January 2021 against January 2020) is 1.31 percent. The dominant commodities that cause inflation in January 2021 in Palembang City include: red chilies, house rent, bird's eye chilies, and chicken meat.

• Lubuk Linggau City experienced inflation of 0.30 percent in January 2021, which is the same as the Calendar Year (Cumulative) inflation in 2021. Annual “Year on Year” inflation (January 2021 against January 2020) is 1.90 percent. The dominant commodities that cause inflation in Lubuk Linggau City include: red chilies, bird's eye chilies, purebred chicken, and white cabbage / cabbage.

• South Sumatra Province in January 2021 experienced inflation of 0.42 percent, which is the same as the cumulative inflation until January (Calendar Year 2020). Meanwhile, the annual inflation "Year on Year" (January 2021 against January 2020) was 1.37 percent.
