The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Abstract

The number of air transport passengers coming to South Sumatra in

August 2021 as many as 16,050 people or down 17.06 percent compared to July

2021, while the departure of passengers is 17,353 people, an increase of 1.10 percent compared to July 2021.

The number of domestic sea transport passengers who departed from South Sumatra in August 2021 was recorded at 894 people, a decrease of 24.87 percent compared to July 2021, while the number of passengers arriving was 926 people, a decrease of 21.06 percent compared to July 2021. The number of unloaded goods decreased. 18.37 percent to 135,590 tons while the number of goods loaded decreased 22.69 percent to 234,728 tons.

The number of train passengers departing in August 2021 in South Sumatra was 6,061 people, a decrease of 58.95 percent compared to July 2021. During January-August 2021 the number of passengers was 110,746 people, a decrease of 58.96 percent compared to the same period in 2020.

In October 2021, the number of air passenger departures was 44,563 or an increase of 49.13 percent compared to the previous month

In February 2022, the number of departures for air transportation passengers was 54,806 or decreased by 22.86 percent compared to the previous month

The total number of departures (embarkations) of commercial air transport passengers from South Sumatra in June 2021 was 66,024 people, an increase of 30.85 percent compared to May 2021 which was 50,458 people.

The number of air transport passengers arriving at SMB II Airport in August 2020 amounted to 39,285 people, or an increase of 34.12 percent compared to July 2020 which was 29,290 people
