The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Abstract

Sumatra Selatan Province in February 2022 experienced deflation of 0.01 percent, Inflation for the 2022 calendar year (cumulative) until February 2022 was 0.92 percent. “Year on Year” Annual Inflation (February 2022 to February 2021) was 2.41 percent. The dominant commodities that caused deflation in February 2022 in Sumatra Selatan include: broiler meat, broiler eggs, and cooking oil, which experienced a decline in prices compared to the average price in January 2022.

The city of Palembang in February 2022 experienced a deflation of 0.01 percent, Inflation for the 2022 Calendar Year (cumulative) until February 2022 was 0.93 percent. “Year on Year” Annual Inflation (February 2022 to February 2021) was 2.43 percent.

Lubuk Linggau City in February 2022 experienced deflation of 0.05 percent, Inflation for the 2022 calendar year (cumulative) until February 2022 was 0.79 percent. “Year on Year” (February 2022 to February 2021) annual inflation of 2.22 percent.

Indonesia in February 2022, based on price monitoring during February 2022 in 90 CPI cities, showed that 37 CPI cities experienced inflation, while 53 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Kupang City at 0.65 percent, the lowest was in Tanjung Selor City, at 0.01 percent. The highest deflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan City by 2.08 percent, the lowest occurred in 3 cities, namely Palembang, Palangkaraya, and Tarakan at 0.01 percent.
