  • The rice harvested area in 2022 is estimated at 516.26 thousand hectares, an increase of 20.02 thousand hectares or 4.03 percent compared to the rice harvested area in 2021 which is 496.24 thousand hectares.
  • Rice production in 2022 is estimated at 2,759.34 thousand tons of GKG, an increase of 206.90 thousand tons of GKG or 8.11 percent compared to rice production in 2021 which is around 2,552.44 thousand tons of GKG.
  • Rice production in 2022 for food consumption is estimated to be around 1,584.57 thousand tons, an increase of 118.81 thousand tons or 8.11 percent compared to rice production in 2021 which was 1,465.75 thousand tons.
