The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Abstract

In December 2022 there was year on year (yoy) inflation of 5.94 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 112.90. Yoy inflation in Palembang City was 5.95 percent with a CPI of 112.89 and in Lubuk Linggau City it was 5.83 percent with a CPI of 113.02.
Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by increases in most of the expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.05 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 3.22 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 2.52 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 5.14 percent; the health group by 2.49 percent; transportation group by 17.20 percent; recreation, sport and culture group by 6.73 percent; the education group by 3.85 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 4.16 percent; and the personal care and other services group of 5.33 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decrease in index was the information, communication and financial services group by 0.16 percent.
The December 2022 month-to-month (mtm) inflation rate was 0.48 percent and the December 2022 year-to-date (ytd) inflation rate was the same as yoy inflation of 5.94 percent.
The December 2022 core component inflation rate on a yoy basis is equal to ytd inflation of 3.90 percent while mtm inflation is 0.08 percent.
