The rice harvest area in 2024 will reach 521.09 thousand hectares, an increase of 16.95 thousand hectares or 3.36 percent compared to the rice harvest area in 2023 which was 504.14 thousand hectares.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

Abstract

In July 2023, the number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting Sumatera Selatan through the Palembang Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin (SMB) II Airport entrance was recorded as many as 11 visits.
The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in July 2023 was 54.87 percent, a decrease of 0.21 points compared to the previous month's TPK which was recorded at 55.08 percent. Meanwhile, the ROR for non-star hotels for July 2023 was recorded at 20.68 percent.
The highest ROR for star hotels in July 2023 occurred in 5-star hotels, namely 72.84 percent and the lowest in 2-star hotels, namely 39.60 percent.
The average length of stay of guests at star hotels in July 2023 reached 1.32 days, a decrease of 0.03 points compared to the previous month which was recorded at 1.35 days.
