The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Abstract

The year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate in November 2023 was 3.52 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 116.31. The y-on-y inflation rate of Palembang was 3.56 with CPI of 116.36. The Lubuk Linggau’s y-on-y inflation rate was 2.95 percent with CPI of 115.68.
Inflation occurred as the prices went up, as indicated by the increase in almost all expenditure groups indices, namely: Food, Beverages, and Tobacco Group of 8.43 percent; Personal Care and Other Services Group of 4.15 percent; Education Group of 2.85 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Group of 1.75 percent; Clothing and Footwear Group of 1.42 percent; Food and Beverage Serving Services/Restaurant Group of 1.36 percent; Health Group of 1.26 percent; Recreation, Sport, and Culture Group of 0.57 percent; Furnishings, Household Equipment, and Routine Household Maintenance Group of 0.43 percent. However, Transport Group’s index decreased by 0.17 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate in November 2023 was 0.54 percent, and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation in November 2023 was 3.02 percent.
The y-on-y inflation rate of the core component in November 2023 was 1.53 percent, the m-to-m inflation rate was 0.09 percent, and the y-to-d inflation rate was 1.45 percent.
