The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Abstract

  • South Sumatra's NTP in December 2024 decreased by 0.24 percent compared to last month's NTP, namely from 128.84 to 128.53.
  • The decline in NTP in December 2024 was influenced by the decline in NTP in several subsectors, each of which fell: Food Crops 0.73 percent, Plantation 0.23 percent, Livestock 0.07 percent, Fisheries 0.34, Capture Fisheries 0.30 percent and Fishing Cultivation 0.40 percent. Meanwhile, the NTP that experienced an increase was the Horticulture subsector by 3.73 percent.
  • In December 2024, the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) for South Sumatra Province experienced an increase of 0.78 percent, namely from 123.26 to 124.22.
  • The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for South Sumatra Province in December 2024 was 130.68 or an increase of 0.31 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
