The rice harvest area in 2024 will reach 521.09 thousand hectares, an increase of 16.95 thousand hectares or 3.36 percent compared to the rice harvest area in 2023 which was 504.14 thousand hectares.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

Financial Statistics Survey of Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) Enumeration for the years 2022-2023

On the 1st of April, 2024, BPS-statistics of Empat Lawang Regency conducted the Financial Statistics Survey of Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) enumeration for the years 2022-2023. BUMDs are integral parts of the national economy whose existence is crucially needed by local governments. To track the development of BUMDs, surveys are conducted to collect financial data of companies, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.

The objective of this survey is to provide and present data on the assets, liabilities, revenues, expenses, profits, and financial ratios of companies by sector and business group, as well as the level of effectiveness and efficiency of regional companies in utilizing existing resources. This survey is conducted annually. The legal basis for this survey is Law No. 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Governments and Government Regulation No. 54 of 2017 concerning Regional-Owned Enterprises.
