SBR Profiling Briefing in 2024

On October 16th, 2024, BPS-Statistics of Empat Lawang Regency participated in the 2024 Profiling Briefing for the Integrated Statistical Business Register (SBR), organized by the Directorate of Methodology Development for Census and Surveys of BPS RI. The briefing was conducted online via Zoom Meeting/YouTube, with participation from all provincial and district/city BPS offices. The goal was to improve, maintain, and enhance the quality of the Statistical Business Register data.

Profiling is a mechanism for updating businesses in the SBR database, done through desk work. Data sources can include internet searches or businesses that have previously been BPS survey samples. Some of the variables that can be updated include the existence of the business, company name, company address, phone number, email, category, and Indonesian Business Field Classification (KBLI). Profiling officers consist of BPS personnel from national, provincial, and district/city offices. The allocation of regional profilers is proportional to the number of large businesses that have not yet been updated.
