The rice harvest area in 2024 will reach 521.09 thousand hectares, an increase of 16.95 thousand hectares or 3.36 percent compared to the rice harvest area in 2023 which was 504.14 thousand hectares.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

Chairperson of the Darma Wanita Association (DWP) BPS Empat Lawang Regency, Mrs. Ir. Rr. Galuh Widiastuti attended the 25th DWP Anniversary event which took place at the Multipurpose Building (GSG) Empat Lawang Regency. The theme of the 25th DWP Anniversary in 2024 is "Strengthening the Transformation Foundations of the Dharma Wanita Unity Organization Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045". At this event, the General Chairperson of the DWP Empat Lawang Regency, Mrs. Meliana Yulius Sugiantara, advised that DWP must become an organization that always develops with the times without ignoring his identity and remaining enthusiastic about providing service to the country. The transformation carried out focuses on improving the quality of human resources, developing relevant programs, and strengthening the role of DWP in various aspects of life seeks to increase the capacity of Indonesian women, especially ASN members and families, as well as improving the quality of Indonesian families.
