The rice harvest area in 2024 will reach 521.09 thousand hectares, an increase of 16.95 thousand hectares or 3.36 percent compared to the rice harvest area in 2023 which was 504.14 thousand hectares.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

Leadership Meeting and Determination of the 2025 BPS Performance Agreement for South Sumatra

On Friday, January 31 2025, the BPS Team Leader for Empat Lawang Regency attended the Leadership Meeting and Determination of the 2025 Performance Agreement which was held by BPS South Sumatra Province in a hybrid manner. This activity aims to discuss strategic policies and agree on performance agreements between Provincial BPS and Regency/City BPS throughout South Sumatra. Through this meeting, it is hoped that all work units can develop and implement work programs for 2025 optimally, in line with the targets and priorities that have been set. With this performance agreement, BPS Empat Lawang Regency is committed to continuing to improve the quality of statistical services and supporting the achievement of BPS's vision and mission in providing accurate and reliable data.
