The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Abstract

IDI is a composite indicator that shows the level of democratic development in Indonesia. The level of performance is measured by the implementation and development of three aspects of democracy, namely Civil Liberty, Political Rights and Institution of Democracy.

 

In general, the value of the Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) of South Sumatera Province 2016 is 80.95 from a scale of 0 to 100, this figure is up by 1.14 points compared to IDI Sumsel 2015 of 79.81. The value of democracy index of South Sumatra Province has increased and the level of democracy in South Sumatra Province in the "good" category. The level of democracy is grouped into three categories: "good" (index> 80), "medium" (indexes 60 - 80), and "bad" (index <60).

 

The change in the number of Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) of South Sumatra from 2015-2016 is influenced by three aspects of democracy namely (1) Civil Liberties which decreased by 4.89 points (from 96.06 to 91.17), (2) Increasing Political Rights 3.15 points (from 78.79 to 81.94), and (3) Democratic Institutions which rose 5.53 points (from 61.00 to 66.53).

 

IDI counting methodology uses four sources of data: (1) local newspaper reviews, (2) document review (Perda, Pergub, etc.), (3) Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and (4) in-depth interviews.
