The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Abstract

The number of foreign tourists visiting in South Sumatra through the entrance of the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang in July 2019 was 1,237 people and decreased by 29.56 percent compared to June 2019.

Most of the foreign tourists visiting in July 2019 came from Malaysia, namely 646 people or 52.22 percent, and Singapore as many as 133 people or 10.75 percent.

Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in July 2019 reached an average of 53.86 percent, down 0.65 points compared to the TPK of hotels in June 2019 of 54.51 percent.

The highest hotel ROR is five-star hotels reaching 61.71 percent, and the lowest hotel ROR is one-star hotels reaching 40.33 percent.

The average length of stay of guests in South Sumatra in July 2019 at a star hotel of 2.27 days, which consists of 4.94 days of foreign guests and 2.24 days of Indonesian guests.

The average length of stay of most guests at a four-star hotel is 4.13 days and the shortest is 1.34 days at a two-star hotel.
