The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Abstract

There were no foreign tourists visiting South Sumatra in April 2020, because all international direct flights at Sultan Mahmud Badarudin Airport (SMB) II were temporarily closed due to the 2019 Corona Virus Disease pandemic (COVID-19).

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in South Sumatra in April 2020 was recorded at 19.43 percent, down 20.43 points compared to the TPK of star hotels in March 2020 which amounted to 39.86 percent.

The highest ROR for hotels in April 2020 occurred in five-star hotels by 28.86 percent and the lowest in three-star hotels by 17.20 percent

The average length of stay of all hotel guests in April 2020 was 2.04 days, an increase of 0.38 days compared to March 2020 which was 1.66 days.

The average length of stay of foreign guests in April was 1.11 days, down by 1.94 days compared to March 2020 which was 3.05 days and the average length of stay of domestic guests was 2.04 days, up 0.38 days compared to March 2020 which amounted to 1.66 days.
