The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Abstract

The South Sumatra Province Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) in December 2020 was recorded at 101.83 or an increase of 1.42 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The increase in NTP was influenced by the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) which increased by an average of 1.95 percent, while the average Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) only increased by 0.53 percent.
  • The increase in NTP in December 2020 was influenced by the increase in NTP in the horticulture sub-sector by 1.07 percent, plantations 2.36 percent, livestock 0.79 percent, fisheries 0.96 percent and capture fisheries 1.93 percent. Meanwhile, the sub-sectors that experienced a decline were food crops by 1.64 percent and aquaculture by 0.43 percent.
  • In December 2020, in South Sumatra, there was rural inflation of 0.66 percent due to the increase in the average index price in almost all expenditure groups, which respectively increased: Food, Beverage and Tobacco Group which increased by 0.94 percent, Clothing and Footwear 0.13 percent, Housing, Water, Electricity and Household Fuels 0.17 percent, Equipment, Equipment and Household Routine Maintenance 0.21 percent, health 0.01 percent, Transportation 0.02 percent, Information , Communication and Financial Services 0.66 percent, Recreation, Sports and Culture 0.22 percent, Food and Beverage / Restaurant Provision 0.30 percent and Personal Care and Other Services 0.77 percent. Meanwhile, the education group did not experience any changes.
  • The Exchange Rate of Agricultural Household Enterprises (NTUP) for South Sumatra in December 2020 amounted to 102.88 or an increase of 1.93 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month.
