Abstract
• In December 2020, no foreign
tourists (tourists) visited South Sumatra through the entrance to the Sultan
Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang due to the Corona Virus Disease 2019
(COVID-19) pandemic.
• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star
hotels in South Sumatra in December 2020 was recorded at 53.83 percent, or an
increase of 4.91 points compared to the ROR for hotels in November 2020 which
was 48.92 percent. The highest ROR for star hotels in December 2020 occurred in
five-star hotels by 68.14 percent and the lowest was at one-star hotels by
29.60 percent
• The average length of stay of all
star hotel guests in December 2020 was recorded at 1.65 days, an increase of
0.20 days compared to November 2020 which was 1.45 days.
• The average length of stay of
foreign guests in December 2020 was 1.82 days, a decrease of 1.47 days compared
to November 2020 which was 3.29 days and the average length of stay of domestic
guests in December 2020 was 1.65 days, increased 0.21 days compared to November
2020 which amounted to 1.44 days.
