The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Abstract

In April 2021, there were no foreign tourist visits to Sumatra Selatan through the entrance to Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport Palembang due to the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in South Sumatra in April 2021 was recorded at 44.41 percent, or down 3.83 points compared to the TPK for hotels in March 2021 which was 48.24 percent. The highest ROR for five-star hotels in April 2021 was 68.61 percent and the lowest was for one-star hotels at 25.09 percent.
The average length of stay for all star hotel guests in April 2021 was recorded at 1.45 days, a decrease of 0.06 days compared to March 2021 which was 1.51 days.
The average length of stay of foreign guests in April 2021 was 1.65 days, a decrease of 1.60 days compared to March 2021 which was 3.25 days and the average length of stay of domestic guests in April 2021 was 1.45 days, decreased by 0.06 days compared to March 2021 which was 1.51 days.
