Abstract

The main patterns of distribution of strategic commodity trade in Sumatra Selatan Province in 2020 are:

Rice                            : Producer → Distributor → Retailer → Final Consumer.

Chicken Eggs          : Producers → Agents → Retailers → Final Consumers.

Cooking Oil             : Producer → Distributor → Wholesaler → Retail Trader → Final Consumer.

Granulated Sugar : Manufacturer → Distributor → Retail Trader → Final Consumer.

The Total Trade and Transportation Margin (MPPT) of Sumatra Selatan in 2020 for rice commodities is 20.91 percent; chicken eggs 12.34 percent; cooking oil 25.08 percent; and sugar 19.42 percent.

The main pattern with the lowest MPPT for rice trade distribution occurred in Central Sulawesi Province, broiler eggs in Bengkulu, cooking oil in Sumatra Barat, and granulated sugar in D.I. Yogyakarta.

The main pattern with the highest MPPT for the distribution of trade in rice occurred in the Riau Islands Province, chicken eggs in Maluku, cooking oil in Papua, and granulated sugar in Kalimantan Barat.
