Abstract

The main pattern of distribution of strategic commodity trade for Sumatera Selatan Province in 2021 is:

 

 Rice : Producer → Distributor → Retailer → Final Consumer

 Shallots : Outside Province → Wholesaler → Retailer → End Consumer

 Red Chili : Producers → Retailers → Final Consumers

 Chicken Meat: Producers → Retailers → End Consumers

 

The Total Trade and Transportation Margin (MPPT) of Sumatera Selatan in 2021 for the rice commodity is 16.17 percent; shallots 26.31 percent; red chili 27.75 percent; and purebred chicken 20.13 percent.

 

The main pattern with the lowest MPPT for rice trade distribution occurred in Banten Province, shallots in North Sulawesi, red chilies in West Sulawesi, and purebred chicken in Bali.

 

The main pattern with the highest MPPT for the distribution of rice trade occurred in Maluku Province, shallots in North Maluku, red chilies in East Nusa Tenggara, and broiler meat in Bengkulu.
