The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Abstract

  • In June 2022, South Sumatra's NTP rose 0.07 percent compared to May's NTP, from 110.29 to 110.37. The increase in NTP in June 2022 was due to the price index of agricultural products experiencing an average price increase of 1.49 percent, while the index paid by farmers in general only experienced an average increase of 1.42 percent.
  • In June 2022, in South Sumatra there was rural inflation of 1.71 percent caused by an increase in the average price index in the expenditure group, namely: Food, Beverage and Tobacco group 2.60 percent, Clothing and Footwear 0.49 percent, Housing, Water, Electricity and Household Fuel 0.14 percent, Equipment, Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance 0.10 percent, Health 0.36 percent, Transportation 0.38 percent, Information, communication and Financial Services 0.01 percent , Recreation, Sports and Culture 0.05 percent, Provision of Food and Beverage/Restaurant 0.21 percent and Personal Care and Other Services 0.28 percent. For the Education group there is no change
