The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Abstract

In March 2023 there was year on year (yoy) inflation of 4.92 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 113.62. Yoy inflation in Palembang City was 4.93 percent with a CPI of 113.63 and in Lubuk Linggau City it was 4.82 percent with a CPI of 113.56.
Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by increases in most of the expenditure group indices, namely: the transportation group by 15.11 percent; personal care and other services group of 5.99 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.85 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 5.23 percent; the education group by 3.97 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 3.67 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 3.64 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 3.56 percent; the health group by 1.82 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.68 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.04 percent.
The March 2023 month to month (mtm) inflation rate was 0.20 percent and the March 2023 year to date (ytd) inflation rate was 0.64 percent.
The March 2023 core component inflation rate on a yoy basis was 3.39 percent while mtm inflation was 0.04 percent and ytd inflation was 0.61 percent.
