The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Abstract

In September 2023 there will be year on year (yoy) inflation of 2.28 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 115.11. Yoy inflation in Palembang City was 2.29 percent with a CPI of 115.11 and in Lubuk Linggau City it was 2.15 percent with a CPI of 115.08.
Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: the education group by 5.48 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group at 4.59 percent; personal care and other services group at 3.81 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.89 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.69 percent; health group by 1.25 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.54 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.32 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 0.24 percent; transportation group by 0.18 percent; and the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.12 percent.
The month to month (mtm) inflation rate for September 2023 was 0.37 percent and the year to date (ytd) inflation rate for September 2023 was 1.96 percent.
The core component inflation rate for September 2023 yoy was 1.87 percent, while mtm inflation was 0.08 percent and ytd inflation was 1.25 percent.
