The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Farmers’ Terms of Trade (FTT) in November 2023 was 109.62 or rose 1.45 percent

Abstract

FTT is the ratio of the index of prices received by farmers (It) and the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib). FTT is an indicator to measure the farmers’ purchasing power parity in rural areas. FTT shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumption and production costs.
Sumatera Selatan Province’s FTT was 109.62 in November 2023 or increased by 1.45percent compared with that in October 2023. The increase in FTT was due to the increase in FTT of food crops at 0.16 percent, horticulture at 6.64 percent, and plantation at 1.80 percent. Meanwhile, The FTT for livestock, marine capture fishery and aquaculture decreased at 1.34 percent, 0.35 percent, and 1.03 percent.
Sumatera Selatan Province’s rural inflation rose 1.12 percent, from 119.35 in October 2023 to 120.69 in November 2023.
Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) was 110.60 in November 2023 or increased by 2.30 percent compared to October 2023.
