The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for South Sumatra Province in February 2025 was 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 0.77 percent.

In January 2025 it rose 6.13 percent to 354,889 tons.The number of passengers using the train transportation mode in January 2025 was 91,023 people or a decrease of 4.95 percent.

Abstract

South Sumatra's NTP in September 2024 increased by 0.60 percent compared to last month's NTP, namely from 123.70 to 124.44.
The increase in NTP in September 2024 was influenced by the increase in NTP in several subsectors, each of which increased: Food Crops by 0.50 percent; Plantations 0.79 percent; Fisheries 0.39 percent; Capture Fisheries 0.59 percent and Aquaculture 0.04 percent. Meanwhile, the NTP that experienced a decline were the subsectors: Horticulture by 3.52 percent and Animal Husbandry by 1.05 percent.
In September 2024, the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) for South Sumatra Province decreased by 0.43 percent, namely from 123.30 to 122.77.
The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for South Sumatra Province in September 2024 was 125.40 or an increase of 0.24 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
