In October 2024, the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) for South Sumatra Province decreased by 0.24 percent, namely from 122.77 to 122.48.

Abstract

In December 2023 there will be year on year (yoy) inflation of 3.17 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 116.48. Yoy inflation in Palembang City was 3.22 percent with a CPI of 116.53 and in Lubuk Linggau City it was 2.61 percent with a CPI of 115.97.

Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.22 percent; personal care and other services group at 3.74 percent; education group of 2.85 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 1.77 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.42 percent; health group at 1.34 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.28 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.53 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.44 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.39 percent; and the transportation group at 0.07 percent.

The month to month (mtm) inflation rate for December 2023 was 0.15 percent and the year to date (ytd) inflation rate for December 2023 was the same as yoy inflation at 3.17 percent.

The core component inflation rate in December 2023 yoy is the same as ytd inflation of 1.53 percent while mtm inflation is 0.08 percent.
